Volunteer Firefighters Extinguish Multiple Fires Across Argentine Regions

In the city of La Rioja, volunteer firefighters responded to four separate fire incidents on Thursday – a parking lot at Hospital de Fátima, a lot in San Andrés, a spot on Bicentennial Avenue, and a location on Bartolomé Mitre street. All flames were fully extinguished, with no injuries or significant material damage reported. The crew urged residents to avoid burning vegetation, pruning waste or other debris, especially under windy conditions.

In Villa Yacanto, San Miguel de los Ríos, Calamuchita (Córdoba province), a forest fire that started near a Roemmers laboratory was contained after a large operation involving local volunteer firefighters, provincial resources and aerial units. Strong winds kept the fire perimeter unstable; no people were hurt and no homes were damaged. Authorities mentioned a possible electrical line failure as a cause, reiterated the ban on open burning, and asked the public to report any fire immediately.
