In early August, volunteer firefighters in La Rioja extinguished four separate fires in the city, including locations at Hospital de Fátima and Bicentennial Avenue, with no reported injuries. Simultaneously, in Villa Yacanto, Córdoba province, a forest fire near a Roemmers laboratory was contained through a large-scale operation involving aerial units and provincial resources. Authorities noted that strong winds made the fire perimeter unstable and suggested a possible electrical line failure as a cause.

By mid-August, reports emerged of residential fires causing displacement. In Rawson, a fire in the Salvador María del Carril neighborhood destroyed a home and possessions belonging to 16 people, including five children; preliminary reports indicate a possible gas cylinder issue.
