Volunteer recruitment opens for 2026 Mediterranean Games in Lecce and Brindisi

The organizing committee for the XX Mediterranean Games, scheduled to be held in Taranto from 21 August to 3 September 2026, has launched a call for volunteers in the southern Italian cities of Lecce and Brindisi. Applicants will support a range of functions, including accreditation, competition management, marketing, international relations, logistics, and spectator services. No prior event‑organising experience is required; language skills, teamwork, and flexibility are valued. Selected volunteers will receive training, both online and in‑person, and will continue to engage with the committee after the Games conclude.

The Games will feature men's football and volleyball in Lecce, while Brindisi will host men's and women’s football and women’s volleyball. The volunteer programme aims to involve local residents and visitors in delivering a successful international sporting event and to leave a lasting legacy for the region.
