Volvo announces new safety campaign and 2027 design concept
Volvo is implementing new strategic initiatives across its marketing and design departments. In Brazil, the company launched the ‘Já Volto’ (I’ll Be Right Back) campaign to coincide with National Traffic Week. The campaign, developed by Casulo Colab and Grey Brasil, uses a social media blackout to emphasize road safety and the human connections behind every journey, rather than focusing solely on vehicle technology.
On a global design level, Volvo has teased a new concept vehicle scheduled for debut in mid-2027. This concept will preview a significant overhaul of the brand’s design language, potentially replacing the current ‘Thor’s Hammer’ aesthetic. The shift follows the return of Thomas Ingenlath as Head of Design. A key focus of this new philosophy is improving user interaction by balancing digital screens with more physical, interchangeable buttons to address customer criticism regarding excessive touchscreen reliance.
