Volvo expands electric lineup with EX60 and hybrid updates

Volvo is expanding its electrified lineup with the introduction of the EX60, a premium electric D-SUV designed to succeed the highly successful XC60 model. In France, Volvo Car France has already recorded over 1,600 orders for the EX60 before its official dealership arrival, with expectations of 3,000 to 4,000 annual registrations. The EX60 features an 800V architecture for fast charging and a range of up to 810 km.

Additionally, Volvo has updated the plug-in hybrid versions of its XC60 and XC90 SUVs. These 'Long Range' models feature significantly larger battery capacities, increasing from 18.8 kWh to 41.2 kWh (37.9 kWh usable). This upgrade allows for electric-only ranges of up to 200 km for the T6 AWD and 160 km for the T8 AWD. The updates also include increased electric motor power and improved AC charging capabilities, rising from 6.4 kW to 11 kW.
