Volvo expands EX30 Cross Country lineup with new RWD model

Volvo has expanded its EX30 Cross Country lineup with the introduction of the Ultra P5 Long Range Electric, a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) special edition model. This new entry features a 69kWh battery providing a driving range of 530km on a single charge, which is 30km more than the higher-spec twin-motor AWD model.

The EX30 Cross Country distinguishes itself from the standard EX30 with a 20mm increased ground clearance, specialized suspension, and unique matte black exterior accents. While the standard EX30 is a compact electric SUV, the Cross Country variant is designed to handle rougher roads while maintaining on-road comfort.

In terms of pricing, the new RWD model is positioned as a rational choice, priced at approximately 5.99 million yen. This makes it roughly 200,000 yen more expensive than equivalent standard EX30 grades, but 500,000 yen cheaper than the top-tier AWD versions. The interior continues Volvo's focus on sustainability, utilizing recycled materials and flax panels.
