Volvo introduces intelligent safety alerts via software update

Volvo has introduced a significant software update for its EX90, EX60, and ES90 models, focusing on advanced safety through intelligent alerts. The update utilizes vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication technologies to warn drivers of potential hazards before they are visible.

The new suite includes four specific alert types: ‘large animal alerts’ to warn of wildlife such as deer or wild boar; ‘vulnerable road user alerts’ for cyclists and pedestrians on or near highways; ‘accident alerts’ to notify drivers of incidents occurring on their current or upcoming route; and ‘roadwork alerts’ to provide advance notice of construction zones to prevent collisions.
