Volvo launches ES90 electric sedan in Brazil

Volvo Cars has launched the ES90, a new electric sedan-fastback hybrid, in the Brazilian market. This model marks the brand's return to the sedan segment in Brazil after a four-year absence following the discontinuation of the S90.

The ES90 is available in a single Ultra Twin Motor Performance configuration, priced at R$ 659,950. It features an 800-volt electrical architecture, supporting charging speeds of up to 350 kW. According to Inmetro data, the vehicle offers an autonomy of 524 kilometers, making it the first fully electric Volvo model to exceed the 500 km mark in official Brazilian testing.

Technical specifications include a 106 kWh battery and a dual-motor propulsion system delivering a combined 680 hp and 870 Nm of torque. The vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in four seconds and features a drag coefficient of 0.25. The ES90 is now available across Volvo's 52 dealerships in Brazil, joining the existing electric lineup of the EX30, EX40, EC40, and EX90.
