Volvo launches EX60 electric SUV on new SPA3 platform

Volvo has introduced the EX60, a new all-electric SUV positioned between the EX40 and the EX90. The model is significant as the first vehicle built on the company’s new SPA3 base architecture, which brings advancements in electric vehicle technology, manufacturing processes, and digital features.

The EX60 P10 AWD Ultra variant features 510 horsepower and 710 Nm of torque, with a WLTP range exceeding 600 kilometers. A key technical upgrade is the implementation of an 800-volt electrical system designed for exceptionally fast charging.

In real-world driving tests, such as a trip from Madrid to Asturias, the vehicle demonstrated high levels of interior comfort, acoustic insulation, and cabin space. The SUV measures 4.80 meters in length with a 2.97-meter wheelbase, providing a spacious interior with a flat floor. Testing indicated an average consumption of approximately 20 kWh/100 km under real-world conditions with air conditioning active.
