Volvo opens pre-orders for EX90 and ES90 electric models in Vietnam

Volvo Car Vietnam has opened pre-orders for its new flagship electric models, the EX90 and ES90, ahead of their official launch later this year.

The EX90 is a large three-row electric SUV built on a dedicated chassis rather than a combustion-engine derivative. It features dual electric motors producing 517 horsepower and 910 Nm of torque, enabling a 0-100 km/h acceleration in 4.9 seconds. The vehicle has received high safety ratings, including a 5-star Euro NCAP rating and the IIHS Top Safety Pick+ designation.

The ES90 is an electric sedan designed with Scandinavian minimalist aesthetics. It is available in multiple configurations, with the highest-end version delivering 689 horsepower and a 0-100 km/h time of 4 seconds. Depending on the model, the driving range is estimated between 645 km and 700 km per charge.

Both models utilize an 800V architecture, allowing for rapid charging from 10% to 80% in approximately 22 minutes under ideal conditions. Early customers in Vietnam may receive incentives such as a 7 kW home AC charger and standard installation packages.
