Volvo Trucks marks 250,000 km electric fleet milestone in South Africa and unveils Swedish Metal Edition at Dutch truck‑

Volvo Trucks announced that its battery‑electric heavy‑truck fleet in South Africa has now logged over 250,000 kilometres of commercial operation, demonstrating the reliability of the extra‑heavy electric models introduced in 2023.

At the same time, the company showcased two Swedish Metal Edition trucks – an electric FH Aero and a conventional FH16 – at the Truckstar Festival in Assen, Netherlands, highlighting special design elements and offering visitors a chance to see the latest electric FH Aero with a 700‑km range.

The two events underline Volvo Trucks’ push to expand electric vehicle adoption in Africa while also promoting its premium Swedish Metal line in the European market.
