Évora executes 94% of PRR cultural heritage projects

The Évora Municipal Council has reported a 94.1% contractual execution rate for Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) projects related to the city’s designation as the European Capital of Culture 2027. Out of five planned cultural heritage projects, three are currently in progress, involving €6.54 million of the €6.95 million in approved funding.

The active projects include the Antigos Celeiros da EPAC, which has reached a 99.9% execution rate of its €2.35 million budget; the Arena de Évora, with a 94.6% execution rate; and the Rossio de São Brás, which has executed approximately €3.72 million of its €4.1 million allocation.

Two other projects, the Municipal Photographic Archive and the Convento dos Remédios, have seen no execution to date because the public tenders remained deserted despite municipal efforts.
