Vortex Energy updates technical study for Robinsons River salt project
Vortex Energy Corp. announced an update on the technical study being conducted by Lonquist Field Service (Canada) on its Robinsons River salt project, located about 35 km south of Stephenville in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The study compiles, reviews and evaluates geological, geophysical and drilling data to improve the company’s understanding of underground salt structures and the potential for hydrogen storage in salt caverns. Results are expected by the end of July 2026 and are intended to refine the subsurface model, prioritize development zones and guide the next phase of project planning. CEO Paul Sparkes said the work will provide a clearer technical basis for future actions. The Robinsons River project comprises 942 claims covering roughly 23,500 ha and is considered prospective for both salt extraction and hydrogen storage.
