Votoms: Die Graue Hexe announces musical theme and trailers

The upcoming two-part animated film series, Armored Trooper VOTOMS: Die Graue Hexe, has released two trailers and promotional imagery. The official theme song, titled ‘Na mo Naki Shijin no Yō ni’, will be performed by Mika Nakashima with composition and arrangements by the band THE ALFEE.

Directed by Mamoru Oshii and produced by Studio Sunrise, the story is set during the final stages of the Hundred Years War between Gilgamesh and Balarant. The plot follows army officer Maki Staufenberg as she investigates Ash Vamps, a soldier known as ‘the Witch’ due to her status as a sole survivor in high-risk missions on the planet Valkyria II.

The first part of the film is scheduled for release in Japanese theaters on November 20, with the release date for the second part yet to be announced.
