Vox councilor Juanma Badenas charged for illegal entry into Valencia student union
The Sindicat d’Estudiants in Valencia says Vox councilor Juanma Badenas entered its headquarters on 2 July, forced open the lock and recorded the interior while accompanied by two other people. The union, which uses the premises under a municipal collaboration programme that has lasted more than three years, described the intrusion as a "brutal atropello" and an unacceptable violation of democratic rights.
Compromís and the PSOE have announced they will take the case to the prosecutor, accusing Badenas of prevarication and demanding his resignation. The opposition also highlighted the councilor’s history of investigations into contracts and alleged irregularities linked to the municipality.
The student union plans to pursue legal action and has called on broader educational and left‑wing groups to mobilise against what it calls a fascist assault on public schooling.
