Vox Melilla launches campaign to accuse Pedro Sánchez of treason
The political party Vox in Melilla is launching a signature collection campaign to pressure the Spanish Congress to activate Article 102 of the Constitution against Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez. The initiative seeks to accuse the President of treason following the events surrounding the invasion of Ceuta on July 30 and 31.
To trigger the constitutional mechanism, the party requires the support of at least one-quarter of the Congress, which equates to 88 deputies. If the initiative is supported by this threshold, it must subsequently receive approval from an absolute majority of the Chamber. Vox Melilla intends to use public mobilization to gather signatures and exert political pressure on other parliamentary groups to reach this requirement.
