Vox proposes increased security measures for Ceuta and Melilla

The political party Vox has registered an initiative in the Cortes of Castilla-La Mancha aimed at strengthening the defense and security of Ceuta and Melilla. The proposal calls for a defensive architecture capable of immediate intensification during extreme risk situations or mass migration events.

David Moreno, president of the Vox Parliamentary Group, stated that the southern border requires a permanent and integral deployment with full support for the Armed Forces and security forces. The initiative seeks to provide personnel with the necessary means, authority, and legal protection to repel attacks. Additionally, the text requests that border mission personnel be recognized as high-risk professionals and calls for an increased presence of the National Police, Civil Guard, and Armed Forces to ensure territorial control.
