Voyah to start pre-sales for Dream 9 flagship MPV
Voyah, a subsidiary of Dongfeng Motor, has announced that pre-sales for its flagship Voyah Dream 9 MPV will begin on September 5 at 10:00 AM Beijing Time. The company has opted to cancel its offline pre-sales launch event, a decision Voyah chairman Lu Fang stated was intended to reduce “unnecessary marketing hype” and allow customers to prioritize hands-on experience and test drives.
The Dream 9 is positioned in the 500,000-yuan luxury segment and will be available in both plug-in hybrid and battery electric versions. The vehicle features a wheelbase of 3,200 mm and is marketed as the world’s first MPV to feature a retractable standing emblem. Technical specifications include an L3-level autonomous driving architecture equipped with dual-path image-grade LiDAR and solid-state blind-spot radars.
This move toward streamlined marketing comes amid broader industry criticism in China regarding the high frequency of vehicle launch events and excessive competition within the automotive sector.
