VPBank Ho Chi Minh City Music Half Marathon 2026 draws over 10,500 runners

More than 10,500 athletes from Vietnam and abroad took part in the VPBank Ho Chi Minh City Music Half Marathon 2026, a three‑day festival of sport, music and technology held from July 31 to August 2 in Ho Chi Minh City. Organized by VPBank together with Nexus Sport Events, the race featured a half‑marathon, a 10 km and a 5 km distance. Ho Nguyễn Thanh won the men’s half‑marathon in 1 hour 10 minutes 12 seconds, while Phạm Thị Hồng Lệ topped the women’s race in 1 hour 20 minutes 07 seconds.

The event’s highlight, VPBank Prime’s Night, turned the race venue into a concert‑like arena with thousands of spectators waving light‑sticks. The night celebrated five years of VPBank Prime and the bank’s 33‑year anniversary, featuring performances by singer Vương Bình. In addition to the competition, the organizers donated 100 million VND to the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Sports Talent Fund.
