VPBank Music Marathon Series in Vietnam

Overview

The VPBank Ho Chi Minh City Music Half Marathon ran from July 31 to August 2, 2026, drawing more than 10,500 athletes from Vietnam and abroad. The three‑day festival combined a 21‑km half‑marathon, 10‑km and 5‑km races with live music, technology displays and a night‑time concert celebrating VPBank Prime’s five‑year anniversary and the bank’s 33‑year milestone. Ho Nguyễn Thanh won the men’s half‑marathon in 1 h 10 m 12 s and Phạm Thị Hồng Lệ topped the women’s race in 1 h 20 m 07 s. Organisers Nexus Sport Events and VPBank donated 100 million VND to the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Sports Talent Fund.

Following the Ho Chi Minh event, VPBank announced early‑bird registration for the 2026 Đất Sen Hồng Music Marathon in Dong Tháp, which will take place 9‑11 October at Văn Miếu Square, Cao Lãnh. Registration closes 12 August, with bib prices from 290,000 VND (5 km) to 835,000 VND (full marathon) and includes an 800 m children’s run. The series aims for World Athletics Label status by 2027 and will continue with races in Hanoi and a second Dong Tháp edition later in the year.
