VRChat to host major VTuber music festivals in 2026

Two significant virtual music festivals featuring VTubers have been announced for 2026, utilizing the social VR platform VRChat.

“ESPERA -AdHoc Live Festival 2026-” will take place from November 20 to 22. Co-hosted by RIOT MUSIC and Culture Entertainment, the event includes a paid performance on November 22 featuring artists such as Kizuna AI, Harusamiru, and members of HAMMER COLLECTIVE and Re:AcT. Attendees can choose between “S tickets,” which allow interaction within the same virtual instance as the artist, or “local tickets” for a more customized viewing environment. The event is accessible via VRChat or through Zaiko streaming services.

Additionally, the VTuber live event “*ASTERISK in Virtual Sanrio Puroland” is scheduled for December 12, 2026. Organized by Upland in collaboration with Sanrio and Gugenka, the event will be held within the “Virtual Sanrio Puroland” world on VRChat. The festival marks a revival of the “*ASTERISK” concept after six years and will feature performers from the “. LIVE” production and the “Vupai” group, alongside other guest VTubers. Viewing options include VRChat tickets and online streaming for PC and mobile users.
