VRChat virtual music festivals in 2026
Overview
In late 2026, multiple large-scale virtual music festivals featuring VTubers and virtual artists were announced for the social VR platform VRChat.
One event, ‘ESPERA -AdHoc Live Festival 2026-’, is co-hosted by RIOT MUSIC and Culture Entertainment. Scheduled for November 20 to 22, the festival includes free attendance for the first two days and a paid final day. Ticket options for the paid performance include ‘S tickets’ for interacting within the same virtual instance as artists like Kizuna AI, or ‘local tickets’ for customized viewing. The event can be accessed via VRChat or Zaiko streaming services.
A second event, ‘*ASTERISK in Virtual Sanrio Puroland’, is scheduled for December 12, 2026. Organized by Upland in collaboration with Sanrio and Gugenka, this festival revives the ‘*ASTERISK’ concept after six years and will take place within the ‘Virtual Sanrio Puroland’ world on VRChat.
