Várzea Grande Education Secretary Launches Environmental Partnership with Unifacc

The Municipal Secretary of Education, Culture, Sports and Leisure, Maria Fernanda Figueiredo, visited the university nursery of the Catholic University of Mato Grosso (Unifacc) in Várzea Grande, Brazil, to assess a technical cooperation aimed at introducing sustainability, recycling and composting projects in municipal schools.

The partnership will provide technical support and supervision by university professors and students, enabling practical activities such as school gardens and composting. Figueiredo said, “The partnership strengthens the commitment to forming conscious citizens engaged in environmental preservation,” and added that the initiative will bring scientific knowledge directly into daily school life, “enriching learning and encouraging sustainable practices from childhood.”
