Várzea Grande holds environmental education lecture for children

The City Hall of Várzea Grande, through the Municipal Secretariat of Environment and Sustainable Rural Development (SEMMADRS), held an environmental education lecture for children aged 9 to 13. The event took place at the 2nd Military Firefighters Battalion as part of the 'Bombeiros do Futuro' social project.

Led by environmental education manager Tathiana Pinheiro, the session covered topics including waste separation, selective collection, the '5 Rs' of sustainability, climate change, and current environmental issues. Additionally, the program provided guidance on animal welfare, vaccination, responsible pet ownership, and how to report animal cruelty.
