Vyasanagar Autonomous College hit by bomb explosions in Odisha

Multiple bomb explosions occurred at Vyasanagar Autonomous College in Odisha’s Jajpur district in the early hours of Thursday. The attacks targeted the residence of the college Principal, Akshay Tripathy, and the Pathani Samanta Boys’ Hostel, causing widespread panic among students and faculty.

The explosions took place just one day before the scheduled filing of nomination papers for the upcoming student union elections. While the motive remains unknown, the timing has raised significant concerns regarding campus security and the safety of the democratic process.

Jajpur Road police arrived at the scene and reportedly recovered unexploded bombs from the premises. A specialized scientific team is expected to conduct a technical examination of the crime scene to gather forensic evidence. Investigations are ongoing to identify the perpetrators responsible for the attacks.
