Waaree Solar Americas and LONGi win major solar module contracts in US and Greece

Waaree Solar Americas, the U.S. subsidiary of India's Waaree Energies Ltd, landed a 236.22 MW solar module supply agreement for a utility‑scale project in Flemingsburg, Kentucky. The high‑efficiency N‑Type G12R modules will be produced at the company’s Brookshire, Texas facility, reinforcing Waaree’s strategy to expand domestic manufacturing capacity in the United States. Executive Director Sunil Rathi said the deal reflects growing confidence among U.S. developers in Waaree’s “Made‑in‑America” modules and supports America’s clean‑energy transition.

LONGi Solar Europe signed an 81.66 MW supply contract with FARIA RENEWABLES for two photovoltaic farms in Thessaly, Greece – the 45.51 MW Athamas project in Almyros and the 36.15 MW Mykonos project in Farsala. The agreement provides LONGi’s Hi‑MO 9 back‑contact modules, designed for high‑irradiance sites and lower levelized costs. Leon Zhang, President of LONGi Europe, described the partnership as a validation of a shared vision for Europe’s energy frontier, while the projects aim to accelerate Greece’s renewable‑energy goals.
