Polish municipalities receive 21 citizen‑budget proposals for 2027

Twenty‑one projects submitted by residents were accepted for the 2027 edition of Poland’s Budżet Obywatelski (Citizen Budget). Formal and substantive evaluation of the proposals has begun, with the final list of approved projects to be announced on 24 August. The submissions cover a range of initiatives, including new public sculptures, sidewalk upgrades, dog‑run parks, traffic safety installations, bike‑track construction and the renovation of historic landmarks. The same set of projects was reported by both the national budget‑citizen office and the municipal office of Siemianowice Śląskie, confirming the shared pool of ideas awaiting selection.

The approved projects, if funded, aim to improve local infrastructure, cultural amenities and environmental quality across participating towns, reflecting a broad effort to involve citizens directly in municipal planning.
