WAEC launches digital platform for 2026 WASSCE certificates

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced that the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) certificates for school candidates are now available on its Digital Certificate Platform. Candidates can access, download, and share their certificates via the official WAEC website or the WAEC Digital Certificate mobile application.

The platform offers two distinct services: ‘Certificate Access’ for individuals to view and download their documents, and ‘Certificate Confirmation’ for institutions and organizations to verify the authenticity of certificates. This digital upgrade is intended to streamline the process for candidates requiring documentation for employment or academic admissions.

The 2026 WASSCE was conducted between April 21 and June 19, 2026, across more than 24,200 schools. Out of 1,950,726 candidates who sat for the examination, 1,200,514 (approximately 61.54 percent) obtained five credits, including English and Mathematics.
