Wallonie-Bruxelles Delegation marks 30 years of cooperation in Vietnam

The Wallonie-Bruxelles Delegation in Vietnam celebrated 30 years of cooperation with Vietnam, marking its role as the only diplomatic representation of Wallonie-Bruxelles within the ASEAN region.

Over the past three decades, the Delegation has facilitated more than 900 academic, scientific, and cultural projects. This includes providing over 1,000 scholarships to Vietnamese students and researchers, as well as conducting more than 2,000 bilateral expert exchanges. Key areas of collaboration have included higher education, family medicine, French language teaching, cinema, and heritage conservation.

Vietnam’s Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ta Quang Dong, highlighted culture as a long-standing pillar of this partnership, noting its role in connecting the people of both regions. Looking forward, the Delegation aims to partner with Vietnam on challenges regarding energy transition, community health, the digital economy, and cultural industries.
