Walmart recalls Bettergoods frozen pasta over Listeria concerns

Gias Foods has issued a recall for two lots of Bettergoods Authentic Italian Lemon Alfredo Fettuccine sold at Walmart stores in the United States due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The recall follows routine testing by agriculture departments in Washington and Florida.

The affected product is a 22-ounce frozen pasta in yellow plastic packaging with UPC 194346442706. The specific lot codes included are L6079C (expiring September 19, 2027) and L6080C (expiring September 20, 2027).

While no illnesses have been reported, Listeria infection can cause serious health issues, including fever, nausea, and muscle aches. It poses a high risk to young children, the elderly, pregnant women, and individuals with weakened immune systems. Consumers are advised not to consume the product and should either discard it or return it to the store for a full refund.
