Walt Disney World adjusts Magic Kingdom access for fall season

Walt Disney World has entered its fall operating period, resulting in scheduling adjustments at Magic Kingdom. Due to the Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, which runs through August, September, and October, general park access ends at 6 p.m. on scheduled party nights. During these times, standard nighttime offerings like the Disney Starlight Parade are replaced by seasonal Halloween programming. Disney is directing non-party guests to other parks, including EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom, during these events.

Recent financial data from Disney Experiences CEO Josh D'Amaro indicates a modest rise in domestic park attendance. While attendance has grown, segment revenue has increased more sharply due to higher ticket pricing, premium add-ons such as Lightning Lane, and increased hotel rates.

In other developments, Disney has announced upcoming attractions for Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios, including themed expansions and new rides, though specific launch dates for several projects remain unconfirmed.
