Polish municipalities launch million‑zloty road, water and transport upgrades

Local governments across Poland have signed contracts and begun a series of multi‑million‑zloty infrastructure projects. In the Subcarpathian gmina of Nowa Sarzyna, a 6.95 million‑zloty road modernisation will rebuild a municipal road, add a 3‑metre pedestrian‑bicycle path and new lighting. The Nowy Sącz County road to a forest area near a ski resort receives roughly 3.6 million zł, partly funded by the state forest fund. Bydgoszcz finalises the renovation of Krzywa Street and adjacent sections, while the Łódź‑Warsaw corridor sees the first 17.2 km of the A2 widening contract worth about 257 million zł. The Police municipality will build a recreational bike trail on county roads, and the Pilzno gmina has opened a tender for a new 3.5‑km water network and a 204‑m³ reservoir with a hydro‑pump. The Military Property Agency is constructing a 30‑unit residential block for soldiers in Drawsko Pomorskie, a 14.5‑million‑zloty project. Additionally, Dęblin’s historic railway station will be rebuilt at a cost of over 20 million zł, and other counties are refurbishing local roads and bridges. These investments aim to improve safety, accessibility, and economic activity for residents and regional transport users.
