Poland extradites drug trafficker from the United Kingdom

A 36-year-old man from the Puławy district has been extradited to Poland following a search that spanned several years. The individual had been hiding in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom to evade justice.

The man was wanted under a European Arrest Warrant and a UK Arrest Warrant, as well as two local wanted lists, for his involvement in the large-scale trafficking of narcotics, including marijuana, amphetamine, and ecstasy, during 2017 and 2018.

The operation was conducted by the Search and Identification Department of the Lublin Provincial Police in close cooperation with British police and the Bureau of International Police Cooperation of the National Police Headquarters. The individual has been transferred to a correctional facility to serve a prison sentence of over four years.
