Polish towns launch multiple road renovation projects

Local authorities across Poland are carrying out a wave of road‑infrastructure upgrades. The Gmina Tyczyn issued a tender to refurbish 206 m of Kilińskiego and Św. Krzyża streets, with bids due by 25 August 2026. In the neighbouring Gmina Nowiny, a 520‑metre stretch of Sosnowa street in Trzcianki is being modernised for about 1.1 million zł, adding a new carriageway, sidewalks and drainage. The city of Tarnów, together with Gmina Żabno, is preparing a 300‑metre asphalt resurfacing of the Graniczna/Łęgowa road at a cost of roughly 270 thousand zł. Kielce’s Batalionów Chłopskich street will receive a night‑time asphalt overlay, with works scheduled to finish by 21 August. Mogilno completed the Dmowskiego street project, a 1.52 million zł investment finished on 14 July. Bytom’s Nickla and Relaksowa streets are nearing completion after a 14.5 million zł overhaul that also includes new storm‑water infrastructure. In Ostróda, the Grunwaldzka street renovation, funded partly by the national road‑development fund, totals over 2.6 million zł. The village of Stolnikowiźna began modernising a 704‑metre section of road 283, spending about 601 thousand zł. The Wielkopolskie road 443 in Gizałki is in its final phase, with more than 54 million zł of EU‑co‑funded work on new bridges, a bypass and a pedestrian‑bicycle path slated for completion in 2026. Warsaw’s Krucza street will be re‑designed into a two‑lane road flanked by a green boulevard with 247 trees, under a contract valued between 51.5 and 75.5 million zł. Finally, a contract was signed for a third bridge over the Dunajec in Nowy Sącz, part of a 179.5 million zł road‑link project. These initiatives collectively aim to improve safety, traffic flow and local connectivity.
