Warsaw provides free blood‑pressure and ECG checks in Żoliborz district

On Wednesday, 10 June, a mobile medical unit will be stationed at the Żoliborz District Office (Słowackiego 6/8) in Warsaw from 10:00 to 18:00. Residents can obtain free blood‑pressure measurements and an electrocardiogram (EKG) as part of a city‑wide effort to raise heart‑health awareness.

The initiative is part of the nationwide “Polska pod Ciśnieniem” (Poland Under Pressure) campaign, which encourages citizens to add their results to a National Blood‑Pressure Counter. Officials note that more than 11 million Poles are estimated to have undiagnosed hypertension, a leading risk factor for heart attacks and strokes. The temporary clinic aims to promote regular screening and early intervention.

Participants will also have the opportunity to consult health experts about preventive care and lifestyle measures to manage blood‑pressure levels.
