Warsaw tram network revamped on Puławska and Grójecka streets

From 15 August, major changes to Warsaw’s tram system will take effect on Puławska Street. Tram lines 4 and 10 will be shortened, terminating at the Metro Wilanowska stop after the crossing at Lotników Avenue is closed, requiring passengers to transfer. Several bus routes (189, 193, 317, 401, 402, night lines N01 and N33) are being rerouted via Wałbrzyska, Puławska, Wilanowska and other streets to maintain traffic flow.

After months of construction, tram service has been restored on Grójecka Street in the Ochota district. Lines 1 and 9 resumed operation following the replacement of 1,166 m of single‑track and the installation of a modern drainage system and upgraded stops. Full service is expected through the end of the summer. These works are part of the Warsaw Tram Program, which includes 36 projects covering about 12 km of track modernization across the city.
