Warsaw tramway renovations cause traffic changes in Mokotów
A new phase of tram track renovation has begun in the Mokotów district of Warsaw, specifically on Puławska Street between the Metro Wilanowska and Wyścigi loops. The project involves significant traffic adjustments, including the narrowing of one lane toward Ursynów from Aleja Wilanowska to the Rzymowskiego junction.
Work at the intersection of Puławska, Aleja Wilanowska, and Aleja Niepodległości is scheduled to continue through August 30. During this period, several traffic restrictions will be in place: drivers on Puławska from Piaseczna will be diverted to Aleja Wilanowska or Aleja Niepodległości, and certain left-turn restrictions will apply at major junctions. A temporary U-turn will be available on Puławska toward the city center.
While tram lines 4 and 10 will only reach the Metro Wilanowska station, several bus lines, including 189, 193, 317, 401, 402, N01, and N33, have returned to their standard routes following the reopening of the Aleja Lotników connection. Subsequent stages of the renovation will focus on tracks crossing Puławska toward Ursynów and work near Smyczkowa.
