Warwoven wins Group 1 Caulfield Guineas to complete rare double

Warwoven, a three-year-old colt trained by Bjorn Baker, secured a major victory in the $3 million Group 1 Caulfield Guineas at Melbourne. Ridden by jockey Rachel King, the horse won by 1 3/4 lengths, defeating Blind Raise and Call Me Coach.

This win marks a rare and prestigious achievement, as Warwoven becomes only the third colt to complete the Golden Rose and Caulfield Guineas double since the former attained Group 1 status in 2009, joining the ranks of Ole Kirk and The Autumn Sun. The victory also extends Warwoven's record to nine starts with six wins.

Following the win, trainer Bjorn Baker is considering the Cox Plate at Flemington for the colt, though a final decision will depend on how the horse recovers from the Guineas.
