Wasiu Ayinde weeps on stage following death of actor Taiwo Hassan
Fuji music icon Wasiu Ayinde, known as K1 De Ultimate, broke down in tears during a live performance following the death of veteran Nollywood actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo.
Hassan passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the age of 66 after a battle with stage-four cancer. The emotional moment occurred during the Mushin 30th Anniversary Celebration, where K1 De Ultimate was seen weeping and pausing his tribute song. Another Fuji musician, Malaika, also expressed deep grief during the event.
Hassan's daughters had previously appealed for medical assistance for their father after doctors indicated that chemotherapy could no longer be administered. Burial arrangements for the actor are scheduled to take place in his hometown of Ilaro, Ogun State.
