DEDDIE schedules power cuts across Attica and Crete on June 23‑24
The Public Power Corporation (DEDDIE) announced planned electricity supply interruptions on 23 June and 24 June 2026 for maintenance and network upgrades. In the Attica region, outages will affect districts such as Athens, Marousi, Kallithea, Glyfada, Marousi, and several western and northern suburbs, with most interruptions running between 08:00 and 16:00 and some lasting until 18:00.
On Crete, the utility will cut power in parts of the Heraklion and Chania regional units. In Heraklion, the Port of Heraklion area, several coastal roads and tourist resorts will be without electricity from early morning until mid‑afternoon. In Chania, sections of the old national road and villages including Sfakia, Anopoli and others will experience outages during similar hours. DEDDIE urged residents to avoid using elevators, disconnect appliances and exercise caution during the scheduled cuts.
