Water infrastructure maintenance underway in La Rioja and Tucumán
In La Rioja, the Ministry of Water and Energy has conducted maintenance and repairs on water wells in Tama and Anchico. These preventive measures, part of a plan by Governor Ricardo Quintela, aim to ensure consistent water supply ahead of periods of high consumption and heat. In Tama, technicians replaced a 7.5 HP submersible electropump and repaired electrical panels and piping. In Anchico, the replacement of a submersible pump restored water extraction at approximately 20,000 liters per hour.
In Tucumán, the Provincial Service of Drinking Water and Sanitation (SEPAPyS) is performing inspections and repairs across several localities. Recent works include replacing a check valve in Ranchillos and replacing pumps and command panels in Colalao del Valle, Alberdi, and El Cajón. These efforts are intended to diagnose system failures and strengthen the province's sanitary infrastructure.
