Water infrastructure projects advance in Florencia and Valera

Infrastructure projects are underway in Florencia, Argentina, and Valera, Venezuela, to improve potable water access for local residents.

In Florencia, Santa Fe, the provincial government has reached 70% completion on a comprehensive renovation of the water system. The project involves replacing 35,962 meters of deteriorated distribution piping, installing five new drillings, and adding two 100-cubic-meter reserve cisterns. The initiative aims to resolve historical pressure and sediment issues for over 7,400 residents and 1,840 domestic connections.

In Valera, Venezuela, authorities are replacing 600 meters of main aqueduct piping on Avenida Bolívar to benefit more than 60,000 families. The project replaces a 60-year-old network with 26-inch steel pipes. Following the water works, crews will perform road rehabilitation and asphalt repairs. Additional work has already been completed in the Santo Domingo sector to stabilize the local water service.
