Water infrastructure projects advance in Žitomislići and Požega

Significant water infrastructure projects have been completed or advanced in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia to improve public utility services.

In the Žitomislići settlement near Mostar, a new water supply network has been officially opened. The project, valued at approximately 2 million KM, connects a water pumping station from the Čitluk municipality to Žitomislići, providing potable water to an estimated 300 connections. The initiative was funded by the Government of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, and the City Administration of Mostar.

In Croatia, a contract has been signed for a water management project covering the cities of Požega, Pakrac, and Lipika. Funded by the Recovery and Resilience Facility, the total project value is estimated at over 4.1 million EUR. A key component involves the construction of nearly four kilometers of water supply network in the Komušina settlement near Požega, which includes ten hydrants and preparations for 25 household connections.
