Water infrastructure development in Croatia and Bosnia

Overview

Water and sewage infrastructure projects are progressing across Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina to improve utility services and environmental protection.

In Croatia, the Karlovac – Duga Resa project has completed works for the Turanj and Kamensko settlements, involving the installation of nearly 28 kilometers of new pipelines. This phase, valued at approximately 10.47 million euros, is heavily supported by the European Union. Additionally, a contract was signed for a water management project in Požega, Pakrac, and Lipika, valued at over 4.1 million EUR, which includes new network construction in the Komušina settlement.

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, a new water supply network was opened in the Žitomislići settlement near Mostar. This 2 million KM project connects a pumping station from the Čitluk municipality to provide potable water to approximately 300 connections, with funding provided by the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, and the City Administration of Mostar.
