Water management services undergo updates in Spain
Water management services are seeing significant developments across different regions of Spain. In the Costa Tropical, Aguas y Servicios celebrated 30 years of managing the integral water cycle for the Mancomunidad de Municipios de la Costa Tropical. Since June 1996, the entity has developed supply, sanitation, and purification infrastructures serving the region, including parts of the Alta Contraviesa and Baja Alpujarra. Manager Alejandro Jurado emphasized that cooperation between public administrations and private companies, such as Aqualia and Acciona, has been essential for driving technological innovation and infrastructure evolution.
In the province of Cáceres, the Consorcio MásMedio, under the Diputación de Cáceres, has launched tenders to renew water supply services for six localities: Palomero, Marchagaz, Pedroso de Acím, Holguera, Carcaboso, and Valderrosas. The total value of these contracts exceeds three million euros. Two specific contracts are being tendered: one for high-level water supply in Palomero and Marchagaz with an estimated budget of approximately 831,721 euros, and another for the integral water cycle in Carcaboso, Holguera, and Pedroso de Acím valued at over 2.2 million euros. These initiatives aim to improve infrastructure through specialized management and shared resources.
