Water quality issues reported in Kotor and Croatia

In Kotor, Montenegro, water between Tabačina and Risno is currently unfit for consumption due to slight increases in turbidity and salinity. Đuro Marković, director of the Kotor Waterworks, stated that testing showed chloride concentrations slightly above permitted limits. Authorities expect water parameters to return to prescribed levels within 24 to 48 hours.

In contrast, recent analyses in Croatia have confirmed that tap water in the Lika-Senj County and on the islands of Pag and Rab is safe for drinking. The Croatian Institute of Public Health conducted testing on 150 samples across various supply zones. While minor deviations in iron and aluminum were noted in two individual samples, the treated water remains microbiologically and chemically correct for consumption.
