Water relief efforts launched in Purbalingga and Lamongan amid drought
Various organizations are providing clean water relief to communities in Indonesia facing prolonged drought conditions.
In Purbalingga Regency, personnel from Yonif TP 438 Satria Arsayuda have deployed two 5,000-liter water tank trucks to assist residents. Distribution efforts have targeted several areas, including Pangempon Village in Kejobong District and various hamlets in Serang Village, to support thousands of people. Officials stated that these water drops will continue gradually as long as the drought persists.
In Lamongan Regency, East Java, PT Dok Pantai Lamongan distributed 80,000 liters of clean water through its DPL Peduli program. Using ten 8,000-liter tanks, the company provided aid to residents in Kuro and Baranggayam villages within the Karangbinangun District. The Lamongan Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) noted that 15 districts in the regency are currently affected by drought, making such distributions vital for daily sanitation and survival.
