Water scarcity impacts multiple Indonesian regions

Various regions in Indonesia are facing significant water shortages due to prolonged dry seasons. In Seram Bagian Timur (SBT), Maluku, the local Fire and Rescue Service has stepped in to assist communities struggling with water scarcity. The department is routinely delivering clean water to facilities such as the Alaskan Pesantren, providing approximately 12 tons of water per day by making multiple trips with their 4-ton capacity vehicles.

In Seluma, Bengkulu, military officials have reported that between 70 and 80 villages are in need of clean water infrastructure. While four water supply points have been successfully constructed and are currently being utilized by residents, the demand for new facilities continues to grow as drought conditions become more apparent in the region.
