Water service disruptions reported in El Salvador and Argentina

Water utility providers in El Salvador and Argentina have announced scheduled maintenance works that may impact local water supplies.

In El Salvador, the Administración Nacional de Acueductos y Alcantarillados (ANDA) reported that preventive electrical network work on the Zona Norte System will cause service deficiencies. The technical interventions at the San Ramón A plant involve replacing and installing three power switches to strengthen electrical protection. Affected areas include parts of San Salvador, such as Escalón, San Antonio Abad, and San Benito, as well as Mejicanos, Santa Tecla, and Ciudad Merliot.

In Argentina, the Sociedad Aguas del Tucumán (SAT) announced that maintenance on the El Cadillal Aqueduct could lead to decreased water pressure in various sectors of San Miguel de Tucumán. The work involves replacing four air valves to optimize the system. While pressure may drop in the city center and surrounding southern, western, and eastern zones, SAT stated that major hospitals and clinics will have their supply guaranteed via water tankers.
