Water service suspension scheduled for El Espinal and Chicoral

Water services in El Espinal and Chicoral, Colombia, will be temporarily suspended on Tuesday, October 20, and Wednesday, October 21. The interruption is due to maintenance and repair work on the Bocatoma Coello gates by the association UsoCoello, which prevents raw water from entering the treatment plant.

The local water utility, Empresa de Acueducto, Alcantarillado y Aseo de El Espinal, noted that once repairs are complete, it may take an additional 24 to 48 hours to fully restore pressure and normalize the system. Residents are advised to store water in advance and practice responsible consumption.
